トランプ政権、リビアにも不法移民を強制送還か＝関係筋

[ワシントン６日ロイター] - トランプ米大統領が今週にも不法移民をリビアに初めて強制送還する可能性があると、政府高官３人が６日に明かした。移民取り締まりの一環だが、米政府はこれまでリビアにおける囚人の扱いを非難してきた。

高官２人によると、強制送還は早ければ７日にも米軍機で行われる可能性がある。

ホワイトハウス、国務省、国土安全保障省にコメントを求めたが、返答は得られていない。ロイターは、送還される移民の数や対象となる移民の国籍は特定できなかった。

国土安全保障省（ＤＨＳ）によると、トランプ政権は５日時点で１５万２０００人を強制送還した。政権は不法移民をキューバのグアンタナモ米海軍基地やエルサルバドルに強制送還することで、自発的な退去を促そうとしている。

国務省は昨年公表した人権に関する報告書で、リビアの刑務所について「過酷で生命を脅かすような環境」などと批判していた。

政府高官によると、政権は数週間前からリビアなどの国々を移民受け入れ先として検討しているという。ただ、リビア当局が外国籍の強制送還者を受け入れることに合意したかは分かっていない。
