［ロサンゼルス　１１日　ロイター］ - 米カリフォルニア州ロサンゼルスで移民・税関捜査局（ＩＣＥ）による移民取り締まりを巡る抗議活動が続く中、米国の複数の都市でも新たな抗議活動が予想される事態となっている。

米テキサス州知事グレッグ・アボット氏（共和党）は、１１日に予定されている抗議活動に先立ち、州内に州兵を配備すると発表。今週すでに、テキサス州オースティン、ニューヨーク、アトランタ、シカゴなど、複数の都市で抗議デモが発生している。

トランプ大統領はロサンゼルスでの抗議活動鎮圧に向け、州兵４０００人を動員したほか、１０日には約７００人の米海兵隊員も派遣。市の中心部の一部で夜間外出禁止令が出された。

トランプ氏はロサンゼルスでの部隊の派遣が暴力行為が制御不能に陥るのを防いだと正当性を主張しているものの、カリフォルニア州のニューサム知事や他の地元当局者らは、この主張は真実に反すると非難している。
