印タタ新工場でｉＰｈｏｎｅ生産開始、フォックスコンも数日以内に

[ニューデリー２９日ロイター] - インド大手財閥タタ・グループ傘下のタタ・エレクトロニクスが、同国南部タミル・ナードゥ州ホスールの新工場で米アップル(AAPL.O), opens new tabの「ｉＰｈｏｎｅ」旧モデルの生産を始めたことが分かった。情報筋によると、数日前に製造を開始した。トランプ米大統領が中国からの輸入品に課した高関税を避けるため、中国からインドに生産を移す動きの一環となる。

情報筋の１人によると、この工場では１時間当たり３００─５００台程度のｉＰｈｏｎｅを生産できる。別の情報筋によると、機種「１６」と「１６ｅ」を製造。２０２７年末までに工場が全面的に完成し、フル稼働すれば５万人の雇用が生み出される見通しだという。

一方、政府高官を含む情報筋４人によると、台湾・鴻海精密工業傘下の富士康科技集団（フォックスコン）(2317.TW), opens new tabがインド・ベンガルールで建設中の工場では数日以内に組み立てラインの１つで生産が始まる。

調査会社カウンターポイントの推計によると、中国は世界のｉＰｈｏｎｅ生産の７５％を占めており、インドは約１８％にとどまる。アップルは２６年までに米国向けｉＰｈｏｎｅ生産の大半をインドに移すための緊急の措置を講じている。

タタ、アップル、フォックスコンはいずれもコメント要請にすぐには返答しなかった。
