米国、欧州駐留軍削減で年内に同盟国と協議開始＝ＮＡＴＯ大使

［タリン　１６日　ロイター］ - 米国のウィテカー北大西洋条約機構（ＮＡＴＯ）大使は１６日、米国は欧州駐留米軍の規模削減に向け、欧州同盟国との協議を年内に開始するとの見通しを示した。

ウィテカー氏は、トランプ米政権が欧州からの米軍撤退を検討しているとの報道について「何も決まっていない」と言及。

ただ、そうなった場合には、ＮＡＴＯ内で早急に話し合いを行うとし、６月にオランダ・ハーグで開催されるＮＡＴＯ首脳会議の後、「年内には確実に会談を開始するだろう。全ての同盟国はその準備ができている」と述べた。
