［ワシントン３日ロイター］ - 米ホワイトハウスのレビット報道官は３日、貿易相手国に４日までに最善の貿易交渉案を提示するよう求めたことを認めた。相互関税の上乗せ部分を一時停止する措置の期限が約５週間後の７月８日に迫る中、それまでにトランプ大統領に複数の合意を提示するため取り組みを加速している。

ロイターは２日、トランプ政権が米国の工業製品や農産物の輸入に関する関税や割当枠の提案、非関税障壁の是正計画など主要分野で最善の提案をリストアップするよう各国・地域に求めていると報道。米側は書簡で、７月８日以降の各国の関税率を含め「着地点」を示す回答を「数日内」に提示すると伝えたという。もっと見る

レビット氏は「書簡の本質と内容を確認できる。米通商代表部（ＵＳＴＲ）は期限が迫っているという親切なリマインダーとして、この書簡を全ての貿易パートナーに送った」と述べた。

書簡によると、トランプ政権がリストアップを求めた他の項目にはデジタル貿易や経済安全保障に関する確約のほか、国別の特定の約束も含まれている。
