コロンビアのウリベ上院議員が死亡、6月に銃撃大統領選候補

［ボゴタ　１１日　ロイター］ - ６月に選挙活動中に銃撃され病院で治療を受けていたコロンビアのミゲル・ウリベ上院議員（３９）が死亡した。家族が１１日、明らかにした。

ウリベ氏は右派野党「民主中道党」の議員で、大統領選の有力候補と目されていたが、６月７日、ボゴタで開かれた集会中に頭を撃たれた。もっと見る

２５歳でボゴタ市議会議員に当選。当時の市長の廃棄物管理や社会事業への対応を批判し、知名度を上げた。２０２２年の議会選では「コロンビア第一」をスローガンに掲げた民主中道党の候補として先頭に立ち議席を獲得した。

コロンビアでは有数の政治家の家系で、母方の祖父が１９７８年から８２年まで大統領を務めたフリオ・セザル・トゥルバイ氏、父方の祖父ロドリゴ・ウリベ・エチャバリア氏は自由党党首で８６年の大統領選挙でビルジリオ・バルコ氏の勝利の支えた。
