[ワシントン２３日ロイター] - トランプ米大統領は２３日、バンス副大統領を含む政権当局者らがイランと協議する中、イスラエルのネタニヤフ首相と会談し、同国とイランの停戦を仲介したと、ホワイトハウス高官が明らかにした。

同高官によると、イスラエルはイランが新たな攻撃を開始しない限り、停戦に同意し、イランはさらなる攻撃を行わない姿勢を示唆した。

また、バンス氏のほか、ルビオ国務長官、ウィットコフ中東担当特使がイランとの直接・間接協議に関与していたという。

トランプ氏はこの日、イスラエルとイランが新たな攻撃を警告した直後に、両国の「完全かつ全面的な」停戦が数時間以内に発効するだろうと述べた。もっと見る

イランは２３日、米国によるイラン核施設空爆への報復措置として、米軍基地にミサイルを発射したが、死傷者は出なかった。もっと見る

同高官によると、トランプ氏は米軍の空爆直後にイスラエルとイランとの協議を呼びかけた。トランプ氏は２１日夜、「イラン側と電話で話そう」とチームに指示し、「ビビ（ネタニヤフ氏）を呼んでくれ。われわれは和平を実現する」と述べたという。
