米オープンＡＩ、ウェブブラウザー発表へクロームに対抗

[サンフランシスコ９日ロイター] - 対話型生成ＡＩ（人工知能）「チャットＧＰＴ」を手がける米オープンＡＩが近くウェブブラウザーを発表すると、関係者３人が明らかにした。市場で支配的地位にあるアルファベット(GOOGL.O), opens new tab傘下グーグルの「クローム」に対抗する。

数週間以内に発表する予定で、ＡＩを通じてウェブ閲覧を根本的に変えることを目指しているという。グーグル成功の鍵となったユーザーデータに直接アクセスすることも可能になる。

関係者によると、新ブラウザーは検索結果をクリックする形ではなく、チャットＧＰＴのように利用者とやり取りするよう設計されている。オープンＡＩが提供するＡＩエージェント「オペレーター」などと統合すれば、ブラウザーが利用者の代わりに予約やフォーム入力などのタスクも実行できるようになるという。

一方、週間で５億人に上るチャットＧＰＴのアクティブユーザーがオープンＡＩの新ブラウザーを利用すれば、グーグルの広告収入源に圧力となる可能性もある。クロームはアルファベットの広告事業の重要な柱で、売上高の４分の３近くを占める。

オープンＡＩはコメントに応じていない。
